CHILDREN can try out springboard diving and watch diving super stars in action at the Zoe’s Angels and RAPS Diving Club fun day on Sunday.
The event, held annually since 2012, will be at the Sleeman Aquatic Centre, Chandler from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
The event is being held to raise money for Zoe’s Angels which supports children with juvenile idiopathic arthritis and lupus.
The organisation is sponsoring a paediatric rheumatologist at a cost of $50,000 a year and supports low income families by assisting financially with services from allied health professionals.
Zoe’s Angels runs camps and family weekends to support families of children with JIA and lupus.
Activities at the fun day include a bomb dive competition on 1 metre and 3 metre springboards, a pitch the ball contest, and jockey and trainer races.
There will also be raffles, the Zoe’s Angels Coffee Shop and a barbecue.
The event costs $10 for the first hour, $5 for each subsequent hour, up to a maximum of $20 per person for the day.
Adults and children aged six and up can take part.
