The music of the Andrew's Sisters will return with a Salute to Father’s Day tribute show being staged at the Redland Performing Arts Centre from 11am to 12.30pm on September 13.
The show comprises three singers backed by a six-piece professional jump blues swing band. The band comprises trumpet, saxophone,drum, trombone Glenn Miller style and pianist Jo Bloomfield playing a boogie woogie grand piano. The girls promise a show filled with three-part harmony, glamorous outfits and toe-tapping shoes from the second world war.
Hits include Don’t Sit Under The Apple Tree, Apple Blossom Time, Roll Out The Barrel and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy.
The sisters are played by Anita David, Kelsey Giarola and Cherryn Lomas. They recently performed at the 75th anniversary of General McArthur’s visit and at the Australian War Memorial.
