A stellar line up of music and dance has been announced for Kunjiel (Corroboree), the two day closing event of the Quandamooka Festival, at 100 East Coast Road, Goompi (Dunwich), North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) from 11am to 9pm on September 23 and 24.
The event will feature bush tucker, market stalls, Indigenous arts and crafts, and live music performances by artists from the lexicon of Aboriginal Australia's discography including Black Armband, Roger Knox and band, Adam James Band, Joe Geia, and Rochelle Pitt, along with the Yulu Burri Dancers and Quandamooka spoken-word artists.
The family-friendly event is priced at $15 for a one-day pass on Saturday or Sunday, or $20 for unlimited entry over the two days.

There is a wide range of accommodation available on North Stradbroke Island through Straddie Camping, including new Glamping Tents and even newer Eco Island Tents, which makes its debut in time for Kunjiel.
The annual festival is a three-month calendar of events from July to September that celebrates the culture, country and the Indigenous people of the Quandamooka (Moreton Bay) region.
Curator of the Quandamooka Festival, Avril Quaill, said the Kunjiel was the perfect way to wrap up a very successful festival calendar.
“The Kunjiel is all about celebration, offering a truly inspiring and artistically rich event on one of the most beautiful Islands in Queensland,” Ms Quaill said.
“We have priced tickets for Kunjiel very reasonably so that everyone from Brisbane and beyond can join the Quandamooka People for this celebration. The music and dancing will showcase some of the best Aboriginal entertainers around, there will be great food, and plenty of activities for the kids.
