REDFEST is one of Australia’s oldest community festivals and the event is lighting up Norm Price Park – Redland Showgrounds, in Cleveland, all weekend.
RedFest is hosting more than 300 Australian and international artists, including headline acts ARIA award winning Justice Crew and Queensland’s own blues and roots guitar virtuoso Lecia Louise on Saturday night.
Also included is the annual lantern parade, strawberry eating competition and the popular Redlands flyball – drag racing for dogs. There will also be the Berry Fun Club for kids and a sideshow alley.
There also will be art, dance, music and Quandamooka people performing a kunjiel, or corroboree.
RedFest will finish with 2017 Golden Guitar winner Troy Cassar-Daley on Sunday afternoon.
The Redland City Bulletin team also will be celebrating at RedFest.
Be sure to visit the Bulletin’s stall, where you can enter to win a holiday, see archives of the historic Strawberry festival, and children can dress up in fancy dress and have their photo taken on a mock up of the newspaper’s front page.
Our team will add the photos to the Bulletin’s Facebook page, and they may also be placed into an online gallery and into the newspaper.
