A WOMAN armed with a knife and syringe and wearing a black cape has attempted to rob a beauty salon at Cleveland.
Police said the woman confronted the owner of the business on Bloomfield Street about 2.55pm on Tuesday.
The woman, wearing a long black cape, was reported to be holding a kitchen knife and a syringe containing a red liquid.
She told the owner to give her money.
Police said another person in the salon shouted that she was on the phone to police.
The woman fled without stealing anything.
