THE volunteer-based Macleay Island Mens Shed has been dealt a blow with tools worth $1500 stolen during a break-in.
The organisation’s secretary Jude Fernandez said most of the power tools were new and would have to be replaced.
“For us it’s a big loss,” he said.
“We don’t have much income or cash reserves.”
Police said the thieves had rummaged through cupboards in the Men’s Shed.
