Scottish singers, Caim will croon to Folk Redlands audiences at Indigiscapes, Runnymede Road, Capalaba on October 1 as part of the group’s CD launch tour of Here Comes The Day.
Hailing from the fields and braes of Scotland, Caim duo, Heather Innes and Pauline Vallance play traditional and contemporary Scottish folk songs. With lilting voices, and using traditional Scottish instruments such as the bodhran, clasarch and flute, Caim music has been said to “touch the heart, uplift and bring peace.”
The duo will host a free workshop on Scottish music from 2pm to 3pm , before performing songs from its new album from 3pm to 4pm.. Blackboard performer are invited to open the show with 20-minute slots available from 1pm.
