SENIORS and Veterans are invited to the Redlands RSL Health Week Expo as part of their celebrations for Veterans’ Health Week, an initiative of the Australian Government Department of Veterans’ Affairs.
Come and see the huge range of fun, easy physical activities on offer in Redlands.
The expo will feature a host of local activity providers who will be giving out information, speaking, holding displays, demonstrations and short easy activity sessions for people to try.
A Tai Chi for Health demonstration and a free short class will be hosted by Master Trainer Elva Arthy.
Come and see how easy and fun this modern, gentle form of Tai Chi can be The Donald Simpson Community Centre will be showcasing their huge range of activities, including their highly popular Day Trip program of six to eight fully catered trips a month.
There will also be a dancing demonstration and a chair exercise session which people can join and try.
Other groups showcasing their activities include Mates4mates, the Men’s Health Peer Education Program (MHPE), Redlands District Council of the Ageing (RDCOTA) and the Redlands RSL Pension and Welfare Team.
There will be opportunity for guests to enjoy themselves with free activities, demonstrations, entertainment, information stands, guest speakers, lucky door prizes and refreshments.
Seniors and veterans in the Redlands area are cordially invited to come along, have some fun, be entertained and find a new activity.
