PUTTING a price on art proved to be a good thing at Yurara Art Gallery with about $2600 for Alzheimer’s research raised through the sale of paintings.
The work all happened at the opening of Karen Munster’s solo exhibition last month, with 31 pieces sold.
A Redland Yurara Art Society spokesperson said the fundraiser was followed by a spring art exhibition throughout the rest of September, with works by members on display.

The spokesperson said the public were also invited to inspect pieces by developing artists at the Yurura youth art awards on Friday, October 13 from 7pm.
The spokesperson said the pieces would be exhibited at the gallery on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 from 10am until 4pm.
Entry into the youth art exhibition is free.
