Car rollover causes delays on Finucane Road

TRAFFIC travelling towards Brisbane City has been delayed for more than three hours after a car rolled over along Finucane Road.

A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said the incident happened near the intersection of Finucane Road and Elhmurst Street about 5.15am today, with forensic crash investigators still at the scene.

The spokesperson said the road would likely be opened soon.

A Fire and Emergency Services spokesperson said two crews were dispatched to assess the scene for danger and to help retrieve the man from the car.

The spokesperson said the man was locked in but not entrapped, with cutting tools not required. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the man was treated at the scene by paramedics and later taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The spokesperson said the man had suffered significant head and facial injuries.
