One of the most celebrated aspects of Australian elections is the democracy sausage.
There mere fact that you can be rewarded for participating in our democratic system with a cheap sausage sandwich is enough to get many people out of bed and to the election booth come election day.
With the Queensland state election looming on November 25, there are sure to be plenty of community groups manning the barbecues and buttering the bread in the hopes of raising some funds through selling a sausage sandwich or two on the day we take to the polls.
With that in mind, what exactly makes the perfect election day democracy sausage? is it the quality of the sausage, the onions, the bread or the sauce?
