BOOK lovers at Capalaba Library who find they lip read at times can get their hearing checked for free.
The service, which includes device trials, will be offered by Australian Hearing at the library on Wednesday, November 15 and Thursday, November 16.
Australian Hearing Cleveland manager David McMaster said about 60 per cent of people aged over 60 years experienced some sort of hearing loss.

“A hearing check is a quick and easy way to make sure you are in good hearing health,” he said.
“Our team will also be on hand to guide you through what next steps you may have to take in regards to your hearing.
“Not everyone who is experiencing problems hearing needs a hearing aid.”
