A 36-YEAR-OLD man who allegedly grew 18 mature cannabis plants inside his Capalaba home will face Cleveland Magistrates Court next month after police searched his home.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said it would be alleged the man was conducting a large hydroponic cannabis set-up inside a tent assembled in his garage.
The spokesperson said cannabis seedlings, 1.7 kilograms of cannabis leaf and stems, 311 tablets marked with ‘M’, 200 steroid pills, 17 viles of liquid steroids and syringes were also found during the search last Friday.
This was in addition to 28 grams of a white powder and a clip seal bag containing 13 grams of cannabis.
The spokesperson said the man was charged with 12 drug-related offences following the mid-morning search by Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad on November 10.
Most charges were related to the production of dangerous drugs and their possession.
Capalaba Tactical Crime Squad Senior Sergeant Warren Piket said the man had been released from bail.
He is set to appear in Cleveland Magistrates Court on Tuesday, December 12.
