GAS has been restored by APA Group to 60 Cleveland and Toondah area customers who lost services after a weekend cave-in at a Cleveland building site.
A Redland City Council spokeswoman said it was expected that the temporarily closed section of Middle Street would be reopened to traffic this weekend.
Sewer services were on line and services to customers in the vicinity of the excavation site had not been affected.
It is understood some Telstra services remain impacted.
A spokesperson from building company Kyronn said staff had been in regular contact with council and works to stabilise the site were continuing.
A major retaining wall collapsed, damaging sewerage lines and an adjacent property on Saturday.
Excavators backfilled the cave-in at the site to support metal sheet piling at the eight-level, 59-unit Reflections project at Middle Street near Raby Bay.
It forced the evacuation of 16 residents from an adjacent unit block as fears were held for the building’s safety.
