Stuart Broad was the pantomime villain of England's forgettable Ashes tour four years ago and his visit to Brisbane this time is not off to a good start.
The England fast bowler was hit by a golf ball on Monday during the tourists' day off. The incident won't put his participation in the first Test in any doubt, however.
"Stuart Broad was practising on the putting green at Brisbane Golf Club when he was hit by a stray golf ball from a member. He is fine and no dramas. The ball hit him on his lower back," an England team spokesman said.
Broad took to social media to show his injury, clearly seeing the lighter side of the incident.

Broad will lead the England attack with veteran seamer James Anderson in the first Ashes Test at the Gabba on Thursday.
