A worker at a Gold Coast movie studio has suffered a "penetrating injury" to the groin in a workplace accident on Tuesday morning.
Paramedics and firefighters were called to Village Roadshow Studios, next to Movie World, about 8.15am to treat the injured man.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said the man had to be cut free from a power tool, described as a drill.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said the worker suffered a "penetrating injury" to the groin but paramedics managed to stabilise him.
The worker was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Police were not called to the scene.
A Movie World spokesman said the man was a contractor working at the studios next door.
