A MAN who bellowed into his phone at night so loudly he annoyed a neighbour has pleaded guilty to a charge of public nuisance.
Link Cameron Morrow told the court on Thursday, November 23 he had sought medication from his doctor after the incident.
Magistrate Deborah Vasta commended Mr Morrow’s actions to control his temper but recorded a conviction, setting a $400 bond for the next nine months.
She told Mr Morrow he had a tendency to explode, which resulted in him contacting his ex-partner’s partner at night on April 1 to give him “a gobfull for a minute”.
The noisy phone call followed an exchange of text messages related to a custody dispute involving Mr Morrow and his ex-partner earlier that evening.
Magistrate Vasta said her sentencing, delivered on Thursday, was considered in the context of Mr Morrow’s history.
“He needs to control his temper,” she said.
Mr Morrow’s defence solicitor told the court her client had received counselling for about three years after moving to Queensland to “get his life back on track”.
