REDLANDS Rugby League Club’s roof will be raised when tribute bands and singers hit the stage to raise money for a fellow musician diagnosed with cancer.
Gig organiser Ross Wieland, who performs as part of Ross River Fever, said money raised from entrance fees and raffle ticket sales would be given to his band partner Billy Brewer, 33.
Mr Brewer, who sings and plays the guitar, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this month and has recently begun treatment.

Mr Wieland said plenty of entertainment had been organised for the seven-hour concert on from 4.30pm on Saturday, December 2.
“A very talented array of local performers and musicians have banded together to help him out,” he said.
Ellie Jane and her band The Forces, That 90s Band, Sammy J and the Inner Groove, The Beatlegs and headline AC/DC tribute group If You Want Blood are all included in the lineup from 5pm.
Mr Wieland said patrons could also purchase drinks from the bar anytime and hot meals between 6pm and 9pm, with prizes including a signed electric guitar up for grabs.
Mr Brewer, who grew up in the Redlands, said he hoped to perform on stage if he felt well enough.
Redlands Rugby League Club is at 226 Cleveland Redland Bay Road, Thornlands.
