The works of 32 Yurara and Coochie artists created a fitting final exhibition for the Redland Art Gallery at Cleveland. The exhibition was launched at the gallery to a large crowd on December 1.
It also marked a final exhibition to director of collections of public art Stephanie Lindquist who spoke about the works.
Mayor Karen Williams said the exhibition capped a stunning 2017 program and was an appropriate place for local artists to tell unique stories.
“These artists are the heart of the Redlands. I want to thank the artists for sharing their work with us. They play a significant role in the cultural life of this city,” she said.
Entitled Connections (Yurara Art Society) and Bush Fragments in the Red (Coochie Art Group), the exhibitions continue until Sunday, January 14, 2018.
