A TWO day program set for the New Year could help boost teen girls’ confidence and self awareness.

Redlands Centre for Women’s chief executive officer Kerri Long said the $50 Girl Goals course would help participants examine their own values to see how their lives were shaped by them.

Ms Long said it was also important for teen girls to understand their own boundaries to enjoy healthy relationships – an area she hoped the course would help participants develop.

“This is a wonderful course for helping young women to build healthy relationships, resilience and self awareness,” she said.

Other aspects covered would include body image, keeping positive and valuing oneself.

The Girl Goals course, delivered between 9am and 3.30pm on both Monday, January 9 and Tuesday, January 10, is opened to teen girls in years nine and ten.

Ms Long said the program was funded with help from the Zonta Club of Wynnum Redland, with morning tea and lunch served on both days.
