A second show could have been sold out for the Messiah, such was its popularity when it was staged at the Redland Performing Arts Centre on December 9.
Redland City Choir conductor and founder Anita Taylor engaged the services of American conductor David Keith who worked with the choir and soloists and a locally sourced orchestra to perform the work. Soloists included Ms Taylor of Thornlands as alto, Kym Hebblewhite as soprano, David Muller of Mount Cotton as tenor and Scott Muller as bass.
“There was a little bit of heaven at RPAC that night. The choir in particular went beyond expectations. I had no idea they were capable of reaching that level in such a short time,” she said.
