The stories of the Macleay Island Inspirational Writers Group has been collated into an anthology entitled Scribal Connections V.
The anthology includes 27 stories from 13 writers. They are Merle Bowden, Trish Cation, Geoffrey Fitzgibbon, Gemma Heggie, Alene Ivey, Desmond Kelly, Mary O’Brien Kingman, Robbie Kirk, Lesley Kraemer, Vicki Le Plastrier, Michele Newton, Margaret Smeaton and Linda Upton.
The works come from challenges that have been set for the group, with those tasks described at the back of the anthology.
Author Ms Kirk said the anthology was the most recent of a number of anthologies that had been created every few years. She said the book had been created by Les Robinson.
“I enjoyed working on this one. It is good to look back and see how your writing has improved over the years and by participating in various courses. Belonging to the group means you are always improving by constant exposure to new things. This year a number of us went to the Boonah Writer’s festival,” she said.
It is available for $12 at the Macleay Island Art Complex and the Progress Association library.
