Some keen BMX riders gained some traction at a school holiday four-day event entitled Traction BMX break Out, from January 8.

The event was held at the Capalaba, Redland Bay and Mount Cotton skate parks.

Traction mentors supervised the event and ran competitions, games and gave away free prizes including a new bike. Local bike riders were encouraged to bring down their bikes and scooters for free servicing from Traction participants.

Participants enjoyed a free community barbecue each day.

Funding was provided by the Redland City Council  as part of the community grants program to assist Redland community”
