A trivia night will help send two sisters to the Great Wall of China as part of their thrust to raise funds for the National Breast Care Foundation. The trivia night will be held from 7pm on Saturday, January 27 at the Capalaba Football club, Old Cleveland Road.
Entry is $20 which includes a basket meal and snacks. There will be full bar service available. Anyone booking a table of 10 will receive a free bottle of wine and jug of beer.
Besides the trivia, patrons can also watch Nicola Thew shave her head in support of the fund raising. A $10 donation attracts one raffle ticket, with the prize to be drawn on the night.
The sisters Kim Miles and Julie Tagg are fundraising in support of their mother who has twice endured breast cancer.
“The challenge will require us to trek for five consecutive days for between five to seven hours a day on the many various terrains that the Great Wall incorporates.
““Like many families, we have been affected by this dreadful disease and have been participating in the Mothers Day Classic walk for the past 10 years and raising funds to help find a cure.
The girls have also pledged to raise a minimum of $7000 for the National Breast Cancer Foundation. More details can be found at nbcf-steps-towards-research-great-wall-challenge-2018.everydayhero.com/au/sistas-walkin-the-wall
