POLICE are investigating the suspicious death of a 36-year-old man found at Wynnum West last Thursday.
A Queensland Police Service spokesperson said it appeared injuries sustained by James Switez-Glowacz had contributed to his death.
“Police have determined the death to be suspicious following the results of a post-mortem examination,” the spokesperson said.
A crime scene was declared around a Florabelle Court property and police were still there this afternoon.
Items had been bagged and placed outside the flat.
The spokesperson said Mr Switez-Glowacz’s body was found at the address by a relative last Thursday, February 8 at 4.15pm.
The spokeperson urged anyone who saw suspicious activity at the street on Wednesday, February 7 or Thursday, February 8 to contact police.
An incident room has also been set-up at the Cleveland station, with criminal investigation branch detectives there able to talk to those with information.
South Brisbane district Inspector Owen Elloy said more details about Mr Switez-Glowacz’s movements prior to his death were also needed.
He said anyone who had spoken to Mr Switez-Glowacz’s in the day’s leading up to Thursday, February 8 could contact Crime Stoppers or Policelink.
