Amy Carter-Green’s family has been in the hearing industry for more than 60 years and it was always a dream of Amy’s to partner in a clinic with her parents.
In May 2017 Amy’s dream was realised when Total Hearing & Health – Victoria Point opened.
Total Hearing and Health have access to the largest range of hearing aids available on the Australian market. Together with advancements in technology Amy and the Total Hearing & Health team can be assured to find the most suitable hearing aids within a client’s budget.
“This means we can find the hearing aid to fit the client and NOT the client to fit the hearing aid,” Amy said.
Amy previously worked at a large corporate company and always heard the same problems from clients: ‘My hearing aids are in the draw,’ ‘I constantly have to repeat conversation to my partner,’ and ‘hearing aids are so expensive.’
“I was frustrated with having the company’s aggressive sale targets as a main priority and not the client’s overall success with their hearing aid journey,” said Amy.
“Therefore starting up our clinic meant I’m not restricted on what hearing aid I can fit, how long I can spend with a client to ensure the best possible outcome and our prices have always been difficult to beat.”
The main services Total Hearing & Health provide their clients with are hearing testing ranging from children (4+), pre-employment and assessments under Department of Veteran Affairs and Government Hearing Services Program.

They also conduct hearing aid evaluation and discussions, clients can home trial hearing aids to ensure they are the most suitable aids for them. If clients currently have hearing aids, Amy and the team are happy to conduct adjustments and repairs on their current set.
“Our family business is committed to each of our clients as if they were a part of our own family,” said Amy.
“The road to better hearing is a journey that requires patience, support and experience. We are with them every step of the way because their success is our success.”
Amy realises that it can be difficult for clients to come into the office due to health, not having transport or having to rely on family members.
Therefore to make this hearing journey easy for everyone involved, Amy and the team are happy to home visit their clients.
Amy grew up in the Redlands and currently still lives there. She admits she has always found the people in the community to be the best thing about living in the bayside.
“Being able to work everyday with these people makes my days so enjoyable,” she said.
