AUSTRALIA’S longest running touring passion play will be performed for its 60th year at Iona College this month.
Founded in 1958 at Iona College by the late Father Thomas Shortall, the play has been performed in Australia every year since. Last year the play was put on in Wagga Wagga.
The Iona Passion Play’s cast and crew often in excess of 100 re-enact the events around the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The play will be performed on Saturday, March 24 at 2pm and 7pm, Sunday, March 25 at 2pm and Good Friday, March 30 at 7pm.
Discounts are available on tickets booked by 5pm on March 21 (adults $19; seniors/students $17; group of 10 or more $15 each).
After March 21, tickets are $22 for adults, $20 for seniors/students and $7 for children from five to 14. Children under five are free (if sitting on an adult’s lap).
