THOUSANDS of people lined Cleveland’s streets and flocked to the Raby Bay Harbour Park to be part of the Commonwealth Games Queen’s Baton Relay.

The community celebration included entertainment headlined by Australian singer Casey Donovan and Brisbane folk band The Fergies.
The relay started at Cleveland Lighthouse and headed to the Raby Bay park before continuing to Waterloo Street.
Olympic gold medallist Natalie Cook and television personality Lincoln Lewis hosted the community event.
Attendees could have a go on a trapeze, play volleyball and try some circus skills.
There were also cultural displays and demonstrations, weaving workshops and performances by the Yulu-Burri-Ba dancers.
Quandamooka artist and GC2018 medal designer Delvene Cockatoo-Collins and Redlander Maryann Talia Pau, who founded the One Million stars to End Violence project also attended.
Mayor Karen Williams said the eyes of the Commonwealth were on the Redlands as the Cleveland leg of the relay was televised nationally.
“Businesses along the route got into the spirit of the celebration with special breakfasts and sausage sizzles,” she said.
“It really showcased the wonderful lifestyle, hospitality and natural environment of the Redlands.”
