John Boumford of Cleveland brings his Johnny Rhythm, and the 60 Project to a studio in August to record three new songs. This will be followed by an album launch on December 6 at West End's The Loft.
To date, his project has gained some momentum with four current original songs on all online platforms (Spotify, itunes etc) being played in 16 countries.
This includes Want you Back sung by Jade Delmiguez recently released and recorded at Lovestreet Studios on the Gold Coast. Bay FM has been playing all the tracks aims to use Take it Slow on its CD release at the end of the year.
The project's Youtube channel is also gaining traction with three songs showcasing the best of the Redlands, including footage from Peel Island for the Sunshine video.
"We are excited how things are developing and the response we have had to the songs worldwide," Mr Boumford said.
"This project has been a labour of love over the last two years. These songs encompass a range of musical influences from my life, love and involvement in music over the last 60 years."
Singers involved in the project include Michael Scriha, Shanon Watkins, Charlotte Emily, Gabriella Grace and Jade Delmiguez with band members Mitchell Hagger and Michael Scriha. Also involved are Jasper Lambert, Simon Watson, Ed Ruben, Casey Glennen, Scott French from Lovestreet Studios and Daniel Helmstedt for video and production.
