Anzac Day is set to begin with dawn services around the nation reflecting on the sacrifice and service of Australian soldiers and veterans.
CAPITAL CITY DAWN SERVICES AND MARCHES
* Canberra - dawn service commences at the Australian War Memorial at 4:30am and the veterans' march begins at 9:30am. There will be a RAAF flyover at 9:44am and a Last Post ceremony at the commemorative area of the war memorial at 4:30pm.
* Sydney - The dawn service will officially begin at the Cenotaph in Hyde Park, Martin Place at 4:23am and there will be a march from Martin Place, moving south along Elizabeth St to Liverpool St from 9am. There will be a flyover around 9:30am.
* Melbourne - Service at the Shrine of Remembrance in South Yarra officially commences at 6am before the Last Post is played and there is a minute silence.
* Adelaide - The South Australian National War Memorial Service will begin at 5:30am.
* Perth - The dawn service at the State War Memorial in Kings Park will begin at 5:30am before a gunfire breakfast is held at Government House Gardens at 7am. The march will take place at St Georges Terrace from 9am.
*Brisbane - The dawn service will begin at 4.28am sharp at Brisbane City's Shrine of Remembrance at Anzac Square. A parade on Adelaide Street, between George Street and Creek Street, will follow from 9.45am.
*Darwin - A dawn service will be held at the Cenotaph at the Esplanade before the parade begins at 9am.
*Hobart - The dawn service is at 6:00am at the Hobart Cenotaph. There is then the Queens Domain main parade at 11:00am along Elizabeth Street before the Hobart main service at 11:45am at the Queens Domain Cenotaph.
AUSTRALIAN LEADERS COMMEMORATE
* Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will begin the day at a Dawn service at the Isurava battlefield after hiking the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea before visiting Townsville.
* Opposition Leader Peter Dutton will attend a dawn service in his greater Brisbane-based electorate.
* Defence Minister Richard Marles is in Gallipoli to commemorate the 109th anniversary of the Anzac's landing on the Turkish shore during World War I.
* Acting prime minister Penny Wong will attend the South Australian National War Memorial Service.
* NSW Premier Chris Minns will be at the Martin Place dawn service in Sydney.
