Centre:  Goodstart  North Sydney – Berry Street

Employment Type:  Full time, Fixed Term position

Your Impact!

  

As the Centre Director at Goodstart North Sydney – Berry St you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation and to extend your network of relationships with children, families, and educators. You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team .  

You will establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community. 

The Centre:

Goodstart Early Learning North Sydney - Berry Street is an 88 place early learning centre conveniently located in the heart of North Sydney on the corner of Pacific Hwy and Berry Street, we are within walking distance to Greenwood Plaza, North Sydney Library, Schools, Business Parks and Public Transport.

Our service provides play-based learning, where our highly experienced and qualified team cater to each child’s stage of development, from ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Our curriculum is based around the Early Years Learning Framework, providing play-based learning within natural learning environments where our educational program focuses on each child’s individual needs, interests and strengths, making learning an enjoyable experience for all children. We focus on ensuring all children are given the best support possible to ensure a smooth transition from early learning to school paying attention to social and emotional wellbeing, as well as literacy and numeracy.

  • This position is a full-time fixed term role
  • Supportive and long-standing team
  • This centre is open from 6:30am-6:30pm every day

You’ll help achieve this by:   

  • Hold a Bachelor of Early Childhood or equivalent qualification (ACECQA approved)
  • Having strong communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Having a passion and willingness to learn
  • Having strong working knowledge of all areas of the National Quality Framework 
  • Having commitment to safety and high standard of work output
  • Having the desire to motive and encourage your fellow educators and those who may resist change
  • Having the availability to work a rotating roster
