About the Role

We are currently seeking ambitious, eager, and reliable Grounds and Maintenance Cleaner for a permanent fulltime position within the Eastern Suburbs. This position is Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm, working within a closely knit small team to complete daily grounds keeping and cleaning tasks. If you are enthusiastic about working outdoors and working with machinery, this is a fantastic fit for you! 

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Emptying and moving bins across the grounds
• Cleaning outdoor furniture and external signage of buildings
• Ensuring external walkways, carparks, pathways, and gardens beds are clear of rubbish and debris
• Basic machine operation including the use of both a backpack and handheld blower, Billy Goat machine and basic power tools
• Dusting and cobweb removal (internal and external)
• Responding to adhoc spills and cleaning requests
• Minor repairs and maintenance

Essential requirements:

• Previous experience within a hands on position 
• Enjoy working outdoors 
• Current Drivers Licence & reliable transport to get to and from work
• Able to pass and willing to obtain both a DCSI (within 3 years) & National Police Clearance (within 12 months)
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills
• High customer service skills with a friendly demeanour
• High standard of work, cleanliness and attention to detail
• Be able to follow directions, and work at a fast pace keeping to time limits and required expectations. 
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Able to work autonomously and use initiative
• Have a smartphone to clock in and out of shifts 
• Availability across Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
