Job Description

This position is required to support the delivery of the organisation's payroll function in a timely and professional manner and in accordance with all legislative requirements.

Other key responsibilities will include the following:

• Manage payroll for 85 staff and a monthly international payroll run
• Coordinate time sheets & exceptions
• Process weekly payroll in a timely & accurate manner
• Process & maintain superannuation monthly
• Process payroll tax monthly & Annual returns incl share schemes
• Reconcile payroll GL's monthly
• Ensure accurate cost centre allocation
• Return to work Coordinator incl workers compensation payments
• STP weekly
• Investigate & resolve any payroll queries
• Liaise with HR and action any salary changes
• Liaise with Finance for labour variance reporting
• Payroll costing analysis
• Ad Hoc projects & reporting as aligned with the role requirements

The Successful Applicant

To be successful in this area you will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the payroll function as well as managing Ad-Hoc duties and requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience within the payroll function
• Independent, attentive to details, highly organised and a team player with strong analytic skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of employment legislation, superannuation, tax and other statutory requirements
• AP and time sheet experience needed
• Experience with Connex & Micro Pay
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information
• Proactive and possess strong work ethic
• Able to deal with ambiguity, is flexible and adapts quickly to change
• Strong computer literacy
