Job Description: A position is available for a Tyre Fitter to join a company located in Pittsworth, QLD. The position would ideally suit someone who has a knowledge of tyres, a mechanical background or even a farming background. The client is willing to offer a certificate 2 in Automotive Servicing Technology to a keen and energetic self-starter that would like to commit to the company long term. The applicant must be physically fit as there will be heavy lifting involved, handling all sized tyres including truck and Ag machinery tyres. Other daily duties include serving customers, filling out job cards, and doing parts runs. Computer literacy, and an outgoing friendly attitude are essential for this role. An above award wage is on offer for an experienced person, and the apprenticeship wage will be in accordance with the pastoral training award. This is a full time position situated in a friendly country town with plenty of amenities and accommodation options, and only a short drive from Toowoomba on the darling downs. A drivers licence, own transport and the ability to commence work as soon as possible is required.
