The popular, original Capalaba Drive-in was located on a triangular piece of land where Mount Cotton Road and Redland Bay begin near Old Cleveland Road.
The drive-in movie theatre opened in 1955 on that site and closed at the end of 1979 to make way for the Capalaba Park Shopping Centre.
The drive-in was relocated to the site just behind the Capalaba tenpin bowling centre.
The drive-in finally closed in 1997 just after the opening of cinemas at Capalaba Central?Shopping Centre.
