REDLAND Bay coffee lovers will be stirring up interest on Sunday night when 23-year-old singer Jac Stone goes into battle in the "Showdown" round of the hit reality talent TV show The Voice.
The former waitress at popular Red Edge Cafe I Love Coffee, has made it through the first two gruelling rounds of the show, which included a "blind" audition.
The show's four famous judges superstar Delta Goodrem, latino singer Ricky Martin, pop punk singer Joel Madden and soul singer Seal listened, but could not see Jac, as she sang Bernard Fanning's Watch Over Me, in April.
Since then, Jac, who has a Bachelor of Popular Music from Griffith University, has spent the past five weeks dedicated to the show and being coached by Seal.
She won the Battle section, in which she had to sing the Ray Charles classic You Don't Know Me in a duet duel with Sydney singer Lauren Dawes.
On Sunday, she will perform along with 16 other contestants, including four from Team Seal, with her passage through to the next stage largely dependent on the number of votes she gets from the public.
The singer with the highest public vote from each team will go into the finals and the one with the lowest number of votes will be eliminated before Tuesday's live results show.
The two left standing on Sunday will then sing for their coach's vote.
"I'm hoping anyone I ever served coffee to at Redland Bay will remember me and vote for me on Sunday," she said.
"I have been in Sydney while filming and have missed my family, who flew down from Redland Bay for the Showdown.
"In my first audition I remember feeling a little jittery because I was awestruck about meeting the judges but I wasn't really thinking about anything except the performance when I first took to the stage.
"Redland Bay was far from my mind but after the performance I was glad my sister, Sam, and my family were there."
Although Jac is enjoying "riding the wave" and hasn't thought about life after The Voice, she said some R'n'R in Redland Bay would eventually be on the cards.
Monday night's show will feature Team Delta's Rob Edwards, Jackie Sannia, Josh Kyle and Steve Clisby; as well as Team Joel's Danni Hodson, Adam Garrett, Kiyomi Vella and Michael Paynter.
People can vote for Jac by phone, SMS, Facebook or on iTunes, where each track downloaded is equivalent to two votes. Voting details will be announced in program.
