The Redland Times has published its last print edition ahead of its amalgamation into our community's new consolidated masthead, Redland City Bulletin, and website www.redlandcitybulletin.com.au.
Redland City Bulletin brings together our two long-serving community newspapers, The Redland Times and the Bayside Bulletin.
The new masthead's name reflects our city's identity following the Redland shire attaining city status in 2008, boosting its image as a growing hub in South East Queensland.
Group manager Greg Watson said the new approach was in response to market feedback from readers and the business community recommending a move to a weekly print edition with continual digital breaking news coverage.
The masthead will deliver across print and online the best in local news, real estate, motoring, sport, information and entertainment for the residents and business community of Redland City.
"Redland City Bulletin will be published on Wednesdays, providing one larger and more informative mid-weekly publication," Mr Watson said.
The new-look Redland City Bulletin also introduces an integrated modular advertising format, which will enhance the layout and presentation of the early general news pages.
A re-branded website, www.redlandcitybulletin.com.au will launch on Monday, June 30, ahead of Wednesday's issue, with a focus on delivering daily news and information through digital platforms that include desktops, mobile phones and tablets.
"This is an exciting and challenging time for our publishing strategies, and we are delighted that our reading audience continues to grow," Mr Watson said.
"As well as 47,500 home delivered print editions of Redland City Bulletin, our online audience will build on the impressive growth we already enjoy, which currently averages over 200, 000 page views a month.
"We remain focused on delivering quality content in print plus bringing increased news and information to our website on a daily basis."
