CAPALABA'S Silver League women's side is fully primed for their grand final showdown against Clairvaux tomorrow at Redlands United football fields.
Though Clairvaux is unbeaten and is coming off a 4-0 semi-final hammering of Park Ridge, Capalaba is far from overawed.
They will be relying heavily on their top scorer Bec Staunton, who made a hat trick against Redlands and ended the season with an average of two goals per game.
Capalaba FC's highly successful SEQL teams also will have a Grand Final competitor as the Bulldogs and Strikers face off tonight in the semi-final.
Declan McGirl's Strikers made the most of their derby match against their old club Bayside Eagles last week, winning 4-1, Justin Quinn scoring a hat trick.
The Bulldogs versus Lions match was a cracker, Bulldogs winning 3-0.
Other Struddy's Cup results: Beenhome 3 d Old Bridge 2; Cavaliers 2 d MQFC 1.
Tonight's program: 6.30pm Capalaba Bulldogs v Capalaba Strikers field 1; 8.30pm Old Bridge v Cavaliers field 1.
Despite having the home-ground advantage on Sunday, Redlands could do little to stop the rampant Capalaba women.
Staunton got on the end of a fantastic through ball from defender Heidi Thompson to put her team on the scoreboard.
Redlands' already tight defence locked down even closer for the remainder of the first half, and an equally solid Capalaba back line gave little opportunity for an equaliser.
Both teams came out fighting after the break, and it brought another cracking Staunton goal in the 56th minute.
Capalaba's answer came in the 75th minute through midfielder Rachael Reynolds, who made use of a loose ball in the midfield, smashing it perfectly to the top right corner.
Less than 10 minutes later, Redlands answered back. After a scramble in the goal area, they were awarded a penalty, slotted away by Jamie-Lee Class.
Then Staunton snuck another one past the Redlands keeper to round off her semi-final with a hat trick.
The Grand Final against Clairvaux kicks off at 2pm on Saturday at Redlands United (Cleveland Showgrounds).
