It has taken 26 years and Redlands Tigers Cricket Club – formerly Eastern Districts and Easts Redlands – has finally achieved the success it has been searching for.
After taking out the Queensland Cricket Club Championship award for season 2015/16, the club now has another trophy to add to the cabinet.
Last Saturday Redlands First Grade team won the Queensland Premier Cricket – myFootDr First Grade competition Cam Battersby Cup. Redlands 184 and 4 for 49 defeated University 109 and 123. Tigers allrounder Simon Milenko won the Andy Bichel player of the final taking 11 wickets for the game.
The club’s Fifth Grade team also made it into the final but unfortunately Wests were too good on the day.
Congratulations to all the coaches, captains, players, scorers, committee, groundsman and volunteers on a successful season. A special thank you to our major sponsor, the Redlands Sporting Club. The club’s Presentation of Awards night is on April 9 at the Redlands Sporting Club.
