MUSIC: Redfest patrons are in for some eclectic sounds with Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts and Ormiston crooner Craig Martin in the bill. These two acts have been featured in the Great South East being screened on August 14.

The music of RedFest will be featured on the Great South East segment on Channel Seven at 5.30pm on Sunday, August 14.

Producer Fiona Deadman and her team of cameraman Aaron Bottero and presenter Jillian Whiting visited the Redland Performing Arts Centre on July 29 to film local talent who will be performing at this year’s Redfest.

Featured were Mama Juju and the Jam Tarts featuring Julie Minto, Vicky Macdonald, Trish Rodwell and Cath McCourt, Ormiston crooner Craig Martin and Brazilian drumming group Bay Samba.  The featured groups presented a snippet of their act with Martin interviewed by Jillian Whiting.

Ms Deadman said the pre-promotion came about through a long association with Redfest and the desire to promote musically themed events.

“We want to feature the musical aspects of RedFest,” she said.

Martin said he was proud to be representing the Redlands.

“Getting this sort of coverage helps put this wonderful festival on the map,” he said.

RedFest will be staged from September 2 to 4. More on redfest.com.au
