Janet Camilleri will reveal how to make cash from blogging at the Victoria Point Library from 6pm to 7pm on Thursday, November 17.
The presentation is part of the library’s RedWrites program and interested people are required to book on 3884 4000.
Entry is $10 at the time of booking.
During the presentation Ms Camilleri describes blogging as a “fun hobby” that generates rather than costs money.
For Ms Camilleri, blogging has also been a lifeline having lost her job four years ago.
“People told me that in two years’ time, I would look back on my redundancy as one of the best things that ever happened to me. I was sceptical, but it turns out they weren’t far off the truth,” she said.
Her newest endeavour also earned her the Redland Woman in Business Award and her business, Front Page Web Writing was a finalist for Redland Business of the Year for 2016.
“In 2014, I used my blog earnings to pay for a week-long cruise of the South Pacific. Today I am a full-time blogger, making my living not just from my own blog, Middle Aged Mama, but also working for other businesses,” she said.
