Yurara’s holiday exhibition is showing from now to January 23, featuring a range of members works, including those painted by some of its members who are prominent local artists.
The exhibition features a range of subjects and techniques ranging from traditional works to abstracts painted in oils acrylics and watercolour.
Yurara Art Society aims to make art accessible and enjoyable for all – from beginners to advanced – with sessions, classes and events run in a relaxed atmosphere at Yurara’s Studio and gallery. The gallery is a pretty pink building in the Pinklands Reserve, Cleveland Redland Bay Road.
The gallery comprises an artist’s studio and gallery and is one of the Redlands most successful and longest running art societies. One of its goals is to help members paint regularly, furthering their arts practice through classes and sessions with peers, mentors and tutors.
The gallery is open from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays and 11am to 4 pm on Sundays. This is also a time when a number of artists gather in the studio to bring new works into life.
“Membership enquiries are always very welcome”, President Gloria Dietz-Kiebron said.
