IF you are too busy to wrap your own Christmas presents this year, Rotary is offering the service for a gold coin donation.

Wellington Point Rotarians and friends launched the fund raising project at Capalaba Central shopping centre last week.

Rotary spokeswoman Lorraine Hooker said Rotarians were joined by North Redlands Probus Club, Crimestoppers, Queensland Police Legacy Scheme and Queensland Police Service.

Everyone waded in to get the wrapping started.

“No presents were too big to wrap and (it was) all done in the spirit of Christmas,’’ Ms Hooker said.

“Gold coin donations received from this project which wraps up on Christmas Eve will be donated to the work of Crimestoppers and Queensland Policy Legacy, a legacy which provides on-going assistance to dependent families of deceased Queensland Police Officers.’’

The service continues until Christmas eve.
