REDLAND Bay residents and visitors travelling on Gordon Road-Cleveland Redland Bay Road, will soon have a $100,000 street lighting upgrade to improve safety.
Capalaba MP Don Brown said the safety improvement works included three new street lights and upgrades to existing lighting between Double Jump Road and Boundary Street.
“Works are currently underway to improve visibility and reduce the potential for crashes on this section of road,” Don Brown said.
“The Palaszczuk Government is committed to improving road safety for all road users across the state and routinely inspects the road network to identify and rectify potential issues.”
“This 300 metre stretch of road is well used by Redland Bay residents at night, which means preventative safety improvements such as new lighting will make a big difference to safety.”
The lights are due to be on line next month, weather permitting.
