The iconic odd couple female version is being sought by MATES Theatre Genesis for its mid year production of the same name.
The comedy will be directed by Debbie Spearritt.
Auditions are being held from 7.30pm on February 21 and 23 at the Birkdale School of Arts Hall.
In the female version of the play, Florence Unger and Olive Madison re-enact Neil Simon's hilarious contemporary comic classic: the female version of The Odd Couple. Instead of the poker party that begins the original version, Ms. Madison has invited the girls over for an evening of Trivial Pursuit. The Pidgeon sisters have been replaced by the two Constanzuela brothers. But the hilarity remains the same.
MATES Theatre Genesis has eight roles to be cast including Olive Madison and Florence Unger (both female leads, aged 40 to 50), Mickey, Vera, Sylvie and Renee (all females aged 35-50). Male roles are for Manolo and Jesus Costanzuela.
Performance dates are from June 2 to 17. Interested people should email auditions@matestg.org.au or fill in an audition request.
