MAGICAL myths were brought to life by preparatory students at Sheldon College.
It all happened at the Fairytale Ball held late last month – school uniforms were abandoned for dazzling and creative costumes.
While appearances by Snow White, Peter Pan, Cinderella and other characters made for an exciting day, a school spokeswoman said the special event followed class story explorations throughout term one.
“The Fairytale Ball was the culmination of many weeks of preparation by the children, which included a magical journey into the world of fairytales, dramatic role play experiences with the Butterfly King and the creation of colourful art displays,” she said.
But the fun was not limited to children, with parents and teachers also dressed up to celebrate.
A Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, student performances and a puppet show presented by David Hamilton entertained.
The spokeswoman said she hoped the Preparatory Fairytale Ball would be for years to come by those students involved.
