A WHITE powder found in a bathroom in a building at Cleveland was non-hazardous.
A spokeswoman for Queensland Fire and Emergency Services said three fire crews and scientific officers had responded to reports of the powder scattered through the toilet area at the back of a building in Queen Street.
“It was non-hazardous containing household items,” she said.
Two firefighters wearing hazardous chemical suits went into the building to get samples of the powder.
The building was evacuated from 9am until about 11am, when it was deemed safe.

A BUILDING in Queen Street, Cleveland has been evacuated after a white powder was found in toilets.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokesman said firefighters had cordoned off the area and were waiting for scientific officers to arrive to identify the substance.
He said the powder was found scattered on the floor and emergency services notified about 9am on Friday.
