THE Redlands SES team has placed second at the SES State Disaster Rescue Challenge held at Townsville on the weekend.

Competing against teams from Warwick, Townsville, Logan, Rockhampton, Cairns and Bundaberg, the Redlands crew scored 869, beating the third-placed Southern Downs team by just three points.
First up was the host team, Townsville with 964 points.

Teams faced seven scenarios that centred on the SES responding to damaged locations in Townsville following a cyclone and earthquake.
The Redlands team members were Joel Muraca, Steph Samuels, Tim Willis, Andrew Davis, Justin Kirkby, Tristan Hardwick and Corey Armstrong, with Jenny Brown as manager.
