WHO would have thought helping those with cancer could be as easy as enjoying a cuppa?
More than $2.6 million is expected to be raised as part of this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.
While the official date for the nationwide fundraiser is May 25, Cancer Council Queensland spokesperson Katie Clift said the morning teas could be hosted any time between now and the end of June.

Coffee with a cop
When: 9.30am to 11am, Thursday, May 25.
What: Enjoy a cuppa and chat with police and volunteers from Crime Stoppers and police.
Where: Outside the Capalaba Library, under the awning closest to Loraine Street.
Cost: Free
Real estate fundraiser
When: 10am to 12pm, Thursday, May 25.
What: Raffle prizes, cakes and tea will be served, with visits from yoga and pilates experts, the Toothfairy dentist and Redland City Council deputy mayor Wendy Boglary.
Where: LJ Hooker Cleveland at 45 Wynyard Street.
Cost: $8 entry.
