A STRIP of land near the Victoria Point foreshore is being redeveloped into 13 blocks.
The development is on Simon Street which runs on to Thompson Esplanade.
Blocks are expected to range from the high $300,000s to high $400,000s.
The nearest block to the foreshore is about 75 metres.
Clinton Trezise of marketing group Colliers International said the Morada Group had already started work on the project, with completion planned for Christmas.
“Opportunities like this are extremely rare and the last time bayside land was offered in Victoria Point was in the 1990’s,” Mr Trezise said.
He said there was a high level of interest in the land which was a good indicator that they would sell easily.
The 13 sites range from 400 square metres to 901 square metres.
“Contracts of sale are expected to be available prior to completion of the civil works, which is scheduled to happen around December this year,” Mr Trezise said.
A few lots will have bay views.
“Having a beach at the end of the street is a huge drawcard in any bayside location and I’m sure it will be a huge drawcard for many buyers,” he said.
“The location offers easy access to fishing, boating, kayaking and swimming at Thompsons Beach.”
The land is about an hour from Brisbane’s CBD and is near schools. The Victoria Point Town Centre is 3 kilometres away.
